Viasava Biography
VIASAVA TAKES DEBUT ALBUM TO THE ROAD
FIRST LP STRIPS MODERN TWIST TO PURE ROCK FORM

While many brothers spend their summers planning road trips and family reunions, the rock dynasty of Clint (Sevendust, Call Me No One), Corey (Eye Empire, Stereomud) and Dustin Lowery have spent this season’s dog days releasing rock albums.

Viasava’s debut LP “One Year Down” shows that even though Dustin is the youngest, this rock quartet’s first attempt doesn’t lack veteran finesse. Their enlivened sound takes a refreshing dive into today’s rock scene, fusing skilled musicianship with new collaboration.

The vocals take an inspired approach, deviating from the repeated melodies of today’s mainstream pool, but maintaining its toe-tapping (or head-banging) appeal. Clean guitar turns and heavy riffs (Gogi Randhawa) pack their sound full of energy, but remains free from overproduction and muddled tones. The guitar’s defining ability grows even more powerful when interacting with their commanding bass lines (John Ballard) and pulsing drum work (Alex Drominy), which both frame and add flavor to each song.

Consisting of alumni from Etherseeds (Roadrunner) and Dear Enemy, the band offers a variety of perspectives without sacrificing skill.

“We all have previous experience under our belts, so we all have different outlooks” said Randhawa. “Our varying viewpoints compliment each other instead of clash because they’re all working towards a common goal.”

The band is taking “One Year Down” to road, already enjoying the support of over 600 fans at their first show. 10% of merchandise proceeds will be donated to charity, fitting as “Viasava” is Punjabi (Indian) for “by way of service.”

“One Year Down” is available on iTunes and Amazon and at the band’s website.
